KNOWING GOD, OUR HOLY FATHER

God desires a relationship with us, His children. As we seek to know God's word, will, and ways, we make that relationship a priority in our life. The best way to know about God is by reading his letter of instruction, the Holy Bible. In meditation on Scripture we allow the Holy Spirit of God to help us interpret his divine message to us, growing in faith to trust Him more. This is a learning by doing process, as God orders and directs our paths when we seek to know Him more.
God is our Holy Father - 1st John 3:1-3. I have known people who have not felt they were loved by their human father and mother. This is not the case with Jesus Christ, your Spiritual Father. As He is a perfect parent, a friend upon whom you can depend. God's love is beyond measure. He gave the supreme sacrifice of His life on Calvary's cross that you and I, may have sins redemption plan (John 3:16-17). He rose again on the third day defeating death.
Because He lives we too can share in eternal life by being born again as we accept Him as our Savior, Spiritual Father, and Friend (John 3:3). Only those who accept Christ as their Savior can call Him Father. God's love for us is unconditional, and everlasting. He listens to our prayers, cares about our needs, pain, and sorrow. God doesn't tally or count our mistakes against us, but instead, forgives us as we repent of our sins daily.
In sickness and in health, we learn to trust in God who is "a very present help" in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Those who reject knowing and loving the one true God - Jesus Christ, as their Father, choose Satan as their spiritual father (John 8:42-45). Satan came to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that we might have a life filled with hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
God wants to be the Anchor of our heart, mind, and soul, the center of our Universe. As we grow to Know God more, we become increasingly attuned to the presence of His Holy Spirit within us. The Holy Spirit within provides a peace beyond measure and understanding. As we get to know God, we realize He was there all the time waiting patiently in line.
Dear Holy Father,
I ask you to help me grow to know you more, and accept every event, trial, tribulation, your hand allows to come my way. Knowing you provide provision and protection with each step I
take. "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be
by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." - Philippians 1:20-21.
I pray 1st Peter 4:11-13, in that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever,
Amen.
