PSALM 101 - A PROCLAMATION PRAYER

The ground was cursed by God, because Adam sinned (Genesis 3:17). That is why God instructs us to live a blameless life before Him, as Holy providence, protection, power, and blessings are sure to follow. We are told in Psalm 34:19-20, "A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; He protects all his bones, not one to them will be broken."

REACH UP:

"To you oh Lord, I lift up my soul, in you I trust...," (Psalm 25:1)

REACH IN:

"As a deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you O God. My soul thirst for God, for the living God,..." (Psalm 42:1-2)

"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you," (James 4:8)

REACH OUT:

"Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples," (Psalm 96:3)

"Say among the nations, "The Lord Reigns," (Psalm 96:10)

"But as for me, it is good to be near God, I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds," (Psalm 73:28)

Living a blameless life before God, provides holy protection, providence, and power!

Then He said to them all, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lost it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it," (Luke 9:23-24)

"My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words (Bible). Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the well spirng of your life.

"Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil," (Proverbs 4:20-23).

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION

Dear God,

1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will sing praise. 2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life – when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. 3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. 4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure. 6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. 7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. 8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the Lord.

THE BOOK

I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. 3 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all crooked dealings; I will have nothing to do with them 4 I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. 5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride. 6 I will keep a protective eye on the godly, so they may dwell with me in safety. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. 7 I will not allow deceivers to serve me, and liars will not be allowed to enter my presence. 8 My daily task will be to ferret out criminals and free the city of the Lord from their grip.

KING JAMES VERSION

1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing. 2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. 6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. 7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. 8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land: that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord.
